  • Overview

    The Network Operations Centre (NOC) plays a crucial role in ensuring high availability and attainment of service levels. The NOC Engineers ensure that we can mitigate with maximum efficiency from system downtime, manage the monitoring system and provide support to streamline system recover. NOC engineers are responsible for infrastructure issues escalation and managing operational incidents as well as archiving high availability in complex systems.

    Responsibilities

    What you will do

    • Build and maintain end-to-end monitoring solutions
    • Provide full 24/7 coverage
    • Oversee problem management process to ensure maximum system uptime
    • Regularly communicate with business owners on service related issues
    • Support documentation process
    • RCA (Root-cause analysis) and initial troubleshooting
    • Monthly reporting

    Qualifications

    Who you are

    • Effective written and verbal communication skills are crucial
    • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
    • Understanding of networking essentials, including TCP/IP, routing, DNS
    • Basic understanding of CDN and Cloud technologies
    • Knowledge of Linux servers and Docker containers is desirable
    • Deep knowledge of monitoring systems like Prometheus, ELK or similar tools
    • Good troubleshooting skills for both network and application layers including web services
    • Prime in of technologies base on JVM, MQ, NoSQL databases is desirable
    • Experience using access lists, packet filtering, and troubleshooting tools such as ping, traceroute, whois, and tcpdump
    • Working with hypervisor technologies
    • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery
    • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management & Best Practices
    • Working with JIRA and Confluence
    • High degree of self-organisation and you are problem solver
    • Understand value and like to follow processes
    • Solving problems and troubleshooting is something you want to do
    • Willing to work shifts rota weekdays, weekends and holidays
    • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
